HF-04 Family Practices Assessment
A private self-observation and guidance tool for parents and caregivers.
Before measuring the child, look at the environment and the practices
HF-04 helps an adult reflect on family practices and the formative environment. It is not a psychological test of the child and does not evaluate moral essence, personality, intelligence, Virtue, or future human trustworthiness.
What HF-04 explores

- Responsibility, consequences, and care
- Scaffolding, autonomy, and gradual withdrawal of support

- Justice, perspective, and coexistence

What HF-04 does not do
- It does not produce an overall score or a Virtue score.
- It does not create a moral radar or child trustworthiness index.
- It does not rank families.
- It does not diagnose personality or mental health.
- It does not determine what kind of person your child is.
Your privacy
During the founding pilot, the raw answers to the 32 HF-04 items are designed to remain outside LVH’s central database.
The assessment should run locally in your browser or be completed privately in a downloadable document. Your answers should not be sent to WordPress, Gravity Forms, OneDrive, email, analytics tools, marketing systems, or external AI services.
Do not enter your child’s full name, school, exact date of birth, diagnosis, medical information, photographs, or other unnecessary identifying information.
How to answer
Answer based on what usually happens in your family, not on what you think the “right” answer should be. “Not applicable,” “Insufficient information,” and “Prefer not to answer” are legitimate responses when offered.
The purpose is orientation: to notice what you may want to preserve, where there may be room to expand, where to begin, and what might be worth exploring later.

Completing HF-04 is optional and is not required to join Family Lab. Family Lab may also not be the right next step for every family.
